The great job of a tight-knit team allowed Teorie del cinema. Il dibattito contemporaneo to win the XVI Limina Award for best Italian translation of an important contribution to film studies published in 2017. Thanks to the peerless co-editor Ruggero Eugeni, the patient translation team Anna Caterina Dalmasso, Federica Cavaletti, Enrico Terrone and Maria Nadotti, and the impeccable publisher Raffaello Cortina Editore. “In order to fully understand the crucial role that audio-visual media play in our world, recent developments in film theory represent an essential tool. Starting from this conviction, the editors of this book have collected some of the most innovative and influential contributions from international key figures in film studies.
